In related news, George, beware of nutty thieves. According to the Los Angeles Times, in California, sophisticated crime syndicates have set up elaborate plots to steal truckloads of nuts from farmers. They have stolen millions of dollars worth of crops already... and that's no shell game.

Splendid stuff Brian -I feel this could be an annual fixture
Let's just hope he doesn't plant rhubarb next year. Peanuts were difficult enough.
PPD (Peanut Planting Day) is set to become an annual highlight
We have tried rhubarb but the weather round here is nor right for it. Too warm and sunny!
By the way, Peanut Planting looks like it's set to be an annual event at our place too.
I should add that last year's crop was probably a carrier-bag full. Which is almost the title of a Fall Song. So I think the peanut-robbers (that would be "Os ladrões dos amendoins" round here) will be looking elsewhere. And they'd never get past our dogs, anyway........
