SCTV Sighting at the World Cup

Congratulations to the Red Devils... and not just for beating the pants off of us. I had no idea the Belgians had convinced the Woody Tobias, Jr., family to become citizens. Here he is performing as Bruno with Dr. Tongue. Quite the Renaissance man. Sour grapes? Not at all.

I am super enthused about this obscure (to non-Canadians, anyway) Eugene Levy character from what is without a shadow of a doubt the BEST comedy show of all time. And, yes, that includes the great Monty Python, Kids In The Hall, and SNL. Great eye, my friend, and thanks for the laugh!

Hey, E. Thought I might hear from my friend formerly from the Great White North. Just hope someone out there read this and said, "What a dope! That's Eugene Levy, not Woody Tobias, Jr." Obscure, to be sure, but it's nice to know someone remembers. You've had some fine reads at your place lately. Are We Stuck In Our Musical Past? had me thinking for a long while. Take care of yourself.

OH MY GOD I HAD THE EXACT SAME THOUGHT! I found this post because I typed "Woody Tobias Jr" into Google to see if my suspicions were correct.

Hey, Unknown. I watched the match today just to see Woody Tobias Jr. Then I followed it up with the Walter Cronkite's Brain episode of SCTV. There, at the end, is Tobias giving acting tips with Dr. Tongue. He reminds us that when you transition from stage to big screen, to tone it down just a bit. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
