You have to hand it to the music community. Bands continue to make lemonade from lemons during this pandemic with inspiring online lockdown performances and other inspiring ways to stay relevant and maybe make a buck or two. I pulled out some of my records from the Bluebells after this popped up the other day. Tip of the cap to Into Creative for coming up with an interesting way to highlight one of my favorite songs from my youth. Isn't it great to see the McCluskeys and Bobby together again... even if it is apart?
This was also a good excuse to reminisce and pull out this photo of yours truly meeting a Bluebell on a sweet day in Glasgow with friends from around the world.

Hi Brian, Welcome Back! I was going to take the need to share my joy with today's arrival of Optic Nerve's 'Storyteller' with an understanding person as an excuse to drop you an email and see how you were but I checked in here first to find you'd returned! Hope you and yours are doing okay in these weird weird times. Best wishes from Notts at least. I don't know if you frequent Twitter but if you do might I recommend #timstwitterlisteningparties - I did the one for 'Rattlesnakes', with Mr. Cole himself reminiscing in realtime, and it was a lot of fun...! Cheers, MisterPrime
This may be of some interest Brian.

Great to hear from my Nottingham correspondent! Thanks for the warm welcome. Hope you and your family are well. #timstwitterlisteningparties seems to be the top of the heap of these pandemic programs. Great albums and the big guest gets bagged every time. Optic Nerve has been on fire in 2020. I can't believe you received Storyteller so quickly. I'm still waiting on the last six singles from the second Optic Sevens series (trying to save on postage), and my Hangman's Beautiful Daughters is in transit. I'm on the fence about McCarthy and the two Razorcuts sets. I have these already (even basically all of the bonus tracks). My New Year's resolution was to quit buying the same records over and over again, but Optic Nerve's editions are always so tempting. Keep in touch.
Whoa! This is news to me, Drew. Thanks. I guess that New Year's resolution I just mentioned will be put to the test yet again. I'm sure Last Night From Glasgow will do a great job handling this tall task. It would be cool if the lads got together and played the launch party.
What a perfect song to start off my birthday today!
According to Bobby they are
Echorich, Happy birthday, my friend! I hope you are able to make the best of it. I'll raise a toast to you this evening.
Drew, Ooh. Another excuse to come for another visit.
Robyn Hitchcock has been putting out regular Sweet Home Quarantine shows from his sofa for seven weeks now, alternating nights of his own songs with single artist covers shows. So far he's done Bob Dylan and The Beatles and after this evening's gig of his own songs, next week he's lining up an show made up exclusively of Syd Barrett covers. My hero!
Stay safe and well Brian. That photo is an absolute joy!
Neat photo, mate. And taken at a time when you and me were still at least halfway sober :-)
I nearly forgot....belated birthday greetings to Echorich! I hope you managed to enjoy your day in spite of the current situation.
What a great photo Brian and a reminder of your "sweet" time in Glasgow (love it).
A lovely wee clip and a very happy song which is just what we need right now. Yes, the music community (and the entire creative/arts community) have been coming up with all sorts of clever ways of keeping us entertained. These guys are probably ok but I fear for many of them as few of these online lockdown performances are going to pay the bills. Tough times.
Hope you are all still doing ok.
Love this pic Brian.
